What Are Good Weight Watchers Snacks Ideas?
Snacks are an essential part of the Weight Watchers’ diet program. They don’t consider any foods as off-limits so you can choose whatever you want to eat and that includes snacks. But then again, if you want to effectively lose weight or keep your current one, then you might want to consider low point Weight Watchers snacks and recommendations.
The good thing about the best Weight watchers snacks is that you do not need to sacrifice a lot of time just to make them. You can either make them quickly at home or just buy an on-the-go one at your nearest store. This makes them perfect especially if you have a busy lifestyle and schedule—whether you are in your office, school, or working in the comfort of your own home. See also Easy Home Office Snacks and Healthy Home Office Snacks.
With that said, if you are on a Weight Watchers program, snacks that are packed with good nutrition and low in empty calories are the best snacks for you. This means that you might want to add more lean protein, as well as fruits and vegetables on your daily snacking plan. Also, note that it is best to have snacks with less sugar and less saturated fat or at least with healthy fats.
What Healthy Snacks are 0 Points on Weight Watchers?
Even if Weight Watchers does not prevent you from eating any type of food you want, it is still the best strategy to calculate the Smart Points of your snacks especially if you are on a diet program. The good news is that according to them, there is no recommended number of snacks to eat each day when you’re on the Weight Watchers program so you can conveniently create and follow a snack plan that works you and your schedule.
Weight Watchers has a lot of recipe ideas and recommendations for snacks that have low-value Smart Points.
However, if you really want to snack on some zero point foods that is packed with nutrients like vitamins and minerals, then you will never go wrong with turning to fruits and vegetables!
Other snacks recommendations that have very little Smart Points are:
- Nuts or seeds
- Hummus or low-fat cheese
- Peanut butter
- Hard-boiled eggs
- Dark chocolate bar
- Popcorn
Remember that foods with higher amounts of protein have lower Smart Points values but sweet snacks and desserts like cookies and sugar-sweetened beverages (sodas, sports drinks, etc.) have higher Smart Points.
What Chips Can I Eat on Weight Watchers?
Now after all of these, you might ask, “Can I still eat chips?”, or “Are chips low on Smart Points?”. To answer you quickly: Yes, you can definitely eat chips even when you are on a WW program! Again, Weight Watchers does not prohibit you from eating anything so if chips are the most convenient choice considering your schedule, then go for it!
However, you need to be aware that each kind and brand of chips have different Smart Points so it is still best to pick chips that have a maximum of 5 Smart Points.
With that, here are some chip recommendations that have very little Smart Points:
- Lays Baked
- Plentils
- Cheetos Puffs Reduced Fat Flamin’ Cheese Flavor
- Sea Salt Tortilla Chips
