Probably one of the most challenging things to do as a parent is to make your kids eat their vegetables. At this age, kids would usually go for desserts and treats that look appetizing to them – not a plate with leaves and lots of greens on it. But this does not mean that you have to give up on introducing them vegetables. In fact, you should take this opportunity to think of creative and clever ways on how you can incorporate veggies into their food.

Vegan Recipes For Kids

And do not worry, I got you. I have here 30 healthy vegan recipes for kids to enjoy!

30. Paleo, Gluten-Free & Vegan Apple Pie Crumb Bars

Paleo Apple Pie Crumb Bars are a delicious fall treat that combines a rich, buttery shortbread crust with tart apples and a nutty crumble topping that is perfect for holiday parties!

These Paleo Apple Pie Crumb Bars are a delicious version of apple pie! Caramelized apples are layered on top of a sweet shortbread crust and then topped with an irresistible streusel topping. Gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan!

This quick and easy dessert recipe takes less than an hour from start to finish.

29. Vegan & Low Carb Chocolate Mousse

Vegan chocolate mousse is a heavenly low carb, paleo and dairy-free dessert that is made with Aquafaba. It’s everything you need for clean eating.

In my home chocolate mousse is one of my children’s favorite dessert. I’m always looking for healthy recipes, especially in what concern with desserts. I like to offer my kids sugar-free desserts, even knowing that with the stimuli outside it’s difficult not to eat refined sugars…

Traditional chocolate mousse is made with heavy cream, eggs, or other rich dairy ingredients that contain a lot of calories and fat. I already showed you my recipe of peanut butter and chocolate mousse here on my blog. It’s also delicious and my oldest son favorite dessert.

28. Vegan Blueberry Cheesecake with Raw Cashwes

This raw vegan blueberry cheesecake is absolutely delicious and irresistible! It’s totally healthy, sugar-free and makes just a perfect dessert for any occasion!

This was the first time that I made a raw cheesecake and believe in me: it has become my new obsession. But I’m not the only addicted to this cheesecake, this becomes my oldest son favorite dessert. And the most amazing is that raw cheesecakes are much healthier than regular cheesecakes.

The base is nuts, and you can choose whatever you want (walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds…).

I flavored it with vanilla extract, it gets even better. If you prefer you can also use almond extract.

The filling with this wonderful texture is made with cashews, yes raw cashews, and without salt. It may seem strange to anyone who has never tried or made it but I guarantee it’s worth it. After being soaked for a few hours, they are crushed together with the remaining ingredients in a food processor and you get a cream with an incredible texture.

The aromas are essential as is the lemon juice. In this case, I used vanilla extract and lemon zest, it is advisable to taste the mixture and adjust the aromas and sweetener if necessary.

I sweetened this blueberry cheesecake with this stevia syrup, but you can use any sweetener of your choice. Blueberry and coconut top is simply divine!

I can’t describe how delicious this cheesecake is, so try and let me know your opinion!

27. Vegan Puppy Chow

Puppy chow tends to be a treat intended for the children, but it’s the adults who typically finish off the whole bowl.

Square-shaped rice or wheat cereals are essential for this, and incorporating peanut butter amplifies the flavor.

I’ve prepared it with Nutella before, and it was a crowd-pleaser!

Indeed, you can include exciting extras, such as caramel popcorn, M&Ms, and Reese’s pieces after the cereal has cooled from its coating.

26. Vegan Peppermint Mocha Cake

I’m profoundly drawn to dark chocolate cake dressed in stark white icing. I find the color contrast striking and appetizing on the plate.

Here, you’ll experience a captivating flavor contrast of robust dark chocolate paired with refreshing peppermint.

Frankly, the cake itself doesn’t require peppermint extract, as the frosting carries enough flavor.

But as suggested earlier, I strongly advise using hot coffee instead of plain water to enrich the cocoa’s depth.

25. Vegan Sweet Potato Pie Bars

Vegan sweet potato pie layered over a vegan snickerdoodle cookie crust? I’m already half-way to the kitchen!

The crust consists of almond flour, cinnamon, and oil, resulting in a firm yet delightfully tender base.

Alternatively, you could introduce some cinnamon to a graham cracker crust if that’s your preference.

The sweet potato layer is a straightforward combination of sweet potato puree, maple syrup, aromatic spices, and cornstarch for setting purposes.

24. Vegan Chocolate Mousse Recipe

If you’re in need of a quick dessert for your vegan bestie, this silky smooth chocolate mousse is your go-to.

Prepared in just 5 minutes, this recipe merely requires cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and solid coconut milk.

If you, like me, always have one refrigerated, you’re all set. Otherwise, empty the contents and chill it for about 10 minutes.

23. 1-Bowl Vegan Zucchini Bread

Zucchini carries a pleasant mild taste and when integrated into baked goods, it imparts moisture, texture, and a nice nutrient boost.

While the green specks might be visible, they’re absolutely tasteless.

So, you can comfortably serve this to the children and sneak some veggies into their meals unnoticed.

I always incorporate dark chocolate chunks into my zucchini bread, but it’s also superb with a mix of chopped nuts and dried fruits.

22. Crazy Good Coconut Oil “Chocolate” Bark

Unlike traditional bark which involves melting chocolate, this recipe utilizes virgin coconut oil and cocoa or cacao powder.

The flavor remains indulgent, and the addition of maple syrup ensures ample sweetness.

However, bear in mind that this needs to be refrigerated consistently, as it will soften if left at room temperature for too long.

21. Homemade Vegan No-Bake Chocolate Coconut Bars

These homemade candy bars are mildly sweet, brimming with coconut flavor and texture, plus they’re low carb and sugar-free to boot.

Combine unsweetened shredded coconut with coconut oil and maple syrup before pressing into a lined baking dish.

Ensure to refrigerate or freeze until solid before coating with chocolate, or you might encounter challenges.

20. Vegan Tiramisu Cupcakes

Recall that vegan fudge from earlier? Here’s another cupcake that would benefit from some chocolate filling.

This cupcake is simpler to make than you’d think, employing a straightforward coffee soak to infuse the cake with moisture and taste.

I opted for this cream cheese frosting recipe to mimic the lovely creaminess typical of mascarpone.

19. Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies

I baked these for my family without mentioning they were vegan.

Once they received high praise, I revealed the truth, enjoyed their surprised expressions, and chuckled as they reached for seconds.

They’re honestly that irresistible.

You’ll use semi-solid coconut oil, whipping it with the sugar until it’s airy and fluffy, much like you would with traditional chocolate chip cookies.

And don’t hold back on the sea salt. It’s the game-changer!

18. Vegan Peanut Butter Cupcakes Recipe

As this recipe incorporates peanut butter into the cake and frosting, it’s perfect for those who can devour a pack of Reese’s in one go.

I’ve been infusing peanut butter into my frosting for years, but never into the cake itself. That is, until now.

And I’m absolutely delighted I did!

This cake is incredibly delicious, and although the flavor is subtle, it’s distinctive enough that you’ll detect it even without the added peanut butter frosting.

17. Lemon Loaf Cake

I frequently take this cake to my book club or coffee mornings with friends.

It’s light, tangy, moist, and indistinguishable as being vegan and gluten-free.

Since it’s made with almond flour, it carries a slight nutty undertone, which I find delightful paired with the tart lemon.

The combination of almond flour, potato starch, and cornstarch is key to achieving that supremely soft and tender crumb, so I wouldn’t recommend substitutions.

16. Baked Vegan Donuts – Kid-friendly Vegan Recipe

Baked donuts are a lovely treat to whip up at home, and all you need is an inexpensive silicone donut mold.

Since they’re relatively flat, lift isn’t a big concern (unlike cupcakes), so an egg substitute isn’t necessary for making them vegan.

Instead, applesauce is used as a binder and melted vegan butter for luscious moisture.
