In the last couple of years, I am sure many of us have made the choice to work from home. Maybe you have been laid off, or you are trying to find new options for your career growth. Or you are just tired of the commute to your office and back. Either way, there are tons of benefits of working from home, it’s the new norm and is most likely is here to stay.
Benefits of Working From Home
- Freedom. This means that you will get more flexibility in managing your tasks as no one is down your neck every second.
- Multitasking. Working from home gives you the opportunity to do more things at once which you couldn’t do in the office environment. If you are a mom, you can say put something in the oven and keep an eye on it while working on your laptop in the kitchen. I do that quite often because homemade food is more healthy and generally costs you less than food delivery or eating out.
- Convenience. You won’t have to wake up super early to beat the morning traffic or even miss your breakfast because you can just start working right after waking up.
- Time. You will have more time to spend doing things that you like, and with your family or taking care of your children.

If you think blogging is dead, you might want to think again. As long as technology exists and we live in a digital world, blogging will continue to exist.
It’s true that the best time to start a blog was 5 years ago, and the next best time to start a blog is today. Blogging allows you to earn money while working from home and writing about what you know and what you enjoy! Some of the most profitable blogging niches you can choose from are:

The income potential when starting a blog is unlimited. You can even earn money while you sleep! Here are some ways to earn passive income from your blog.
- Display ads

9. Freelance Writer
Income potential: $25 to $100 per hour
If you think that you don’t have the resources yet to start a blog, or if you are not ready to wait until your blog becomes profitable. There is a way to make money with your content writing skills and get paid for it right away! If it sounds like you, freelance writing could be the job for you!
Becoming a content writer is a good option if you want to work on short-term projects on your own working hours. The appeal of being a freelance writer is that you have complete control over which tasks you take and at what rate.
Depending on the difficulty of the assignment, freelancers usually charge by the hour or provide a flat rate per 1000 words.
You do not need a previous editor or writer experience, no one will ask you if you have a college degree. What matters is that you have a good command of the language, you don’t make spelling and grammar mistakes.
Anyway, nowadays you can even make a few mistakes and rely on tools like Grammarly to help you point out the obvious mistakes and typos in your texts. If you never used Grammarly, you should definitely install it on your computer, it has a very generous free version which is usually enough for most users.
You could join platforms like Upwork, Problogger, and many others to find freelance writing gigs. I also recommend you to find on Facebook large communities of bloggers and try to find posts where other users were looking for writers there. As a full-time blogger myself who is now in a position where I can afford to hire a content writer to publish more content on my blogs, I can assure you those good content writers are very hard to find, and there is always demand.
