How to make air fryer corn on the cob
I love grilled corn but I do not like the process of doing it.
With this recipe, you do not need to open and heat up your grill anymore when you want nice, crispy roasted corn on the cob! You can make this recipe with your kids because it is that easy.
And the best part? Prep time and cleaning up time are quicker than usual because you will only need a few ingredients and you will not be using a lot of cooking equipment!
Ingredients:
- 2 ears of corn
- olive oil / olive oil spray or any vegetable oil or spray
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) butter for spreading
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Cut the ends of the corn to fit in the air fryer basket and make sure you place the corn in a single layer without crowding or overlapping each other.
If your air fryer is small, you can cut the corn in half.
Coat all sides of the corn with olive oil or cooking spray. After, season with salt and pepper around the whole corn.
Air fry the corn at 370 degrees F for 12 to 15 minutes flipping halfway so that they cook evenly.
Cook until the corn kernels are tender and lightly browned.
Remove, add butter to the corn, and serve.
More notes and tips for the best way to cook corn on the cob in the air fryer
Cooking corn in the air fryer is very easy and straightforward. But I have here more notes and tips on how you can make corn on the cob perfectly that is juicy and crispy in an air fryer!
- I recommend using fresh corn for this air fryer recipe but you can also use frozen corn on the cob. You will have to thaw it completely and squeeze out excess water. You may also need to add additional cooking time if needed.
- I recommend adding the butter right before eating because if you add corn with melted butter and then cook the corn, the butter might burn.
- Cook time will depend on the size of your corn so make sure you check if they are tender already while cooking.
- Pick a good sweet corn (or any kind of corn) that you and your family love!
- You can also drizzle some toppings including parmesan cheese, chili powder, lemon zest, and more!
How to serve air-fried roasted corn on the cob
This air-fried corn on the cob can be perfectly eaten by itself because it is already rich in flavor and can be quite filling. However, it also makes a good side dish and can be paired with a lot of food! Here are some examples:
- Serve with leafy green salad
- Serve with potato salad
- Serve with air-fried french fries or air-fried sweet potato fries
- Serve with fresh veggies
- And more!
Where to store your air-fried corn on the cob leftovers
If you have any leftover air-fried corn on the cobs, you can easily store leftover corn by wrapping an aluminum oil to the cooked corn and place in an airtight container. You can store it in the fridge for three to five days.
To reheat corn on the cob, just put them back in the air fryer for a few minutes.
