KETO DESSERT RECIPES

Ketogenic diet doesn’t mean that you have to completely ignore a sweet tooth self – you just need to keep these easy Keto desserts in your Keto boards on Pinterest and try once in a while another amazing dessert.

If you’ve been reading my blogs for quite a while now, you will know that I am quite the sweet tooth. I’ve been obsessed with desserts for years. I am not talking about just eating. Sure, I love to eat anything sweet but I also love to be the one to bake them as well. As a matter of fact, I had zero curricular back in college. And guess what I did in my free time? I did nothing but read some dessert cookbooks that I bought at a book sale. And when you look at all the delicious pictures on every page, you cannot resist trying to make them yourself. And so, that I was what I did. I had a lot of fun doing it too. Not only was it fun but the activity also made me full. Anyways, in this article, I am going to share with you some of the easy keto dessert recipes that I know.

Keto Dessert Recipes

You will find a couple of the initial dessert recipes I learned when I was younger as well as a couple of the ones that I made all on my own.

What Desserts Are Keto?

What desserts are keto? Well, there’s a good question. After all,  aside from satisfying your sweet tooth, you also want to look your best. You don’t want to suddenly get bent out of shape just because of a couple of desserts.

So, let’s look into keto desserts. What does keto mean anyway? Well, keto is short for the ketogenic diet. A ketogenic diet pertains to a kind of eating lifestyle wherein you consume food that can give you calories from proteins and fat instead of carbs. This usually pertains to sugar, soda, and pastries.

Hence, if you want to bake keto-friendly desserts, we basically just have to replace regular recipes with alternatives that are both delicious and healthy.

Here are some examples of keto-friendly desserts:

  • Crunchy Keto Berry Mousse
  • Keto Icecream
  • Keto Brownies
  • Lemon Bars
  • Coconut Lime Cupcakes

No-Bake Keto Chocolate Chip Cookies

I really love chocolate chip cookies. I know a lot of you do too. I can’t be the only one who would beg my grandma to bake these for me during the afternoon.

Imagine playing all day and running downstairs for a plate of hot chocolate chip cookies. Or sometimes, it could be pouring outside and then your mom or grandmother would bake these cookies knowing that they are your favorite.

But do you know what is more satisfying than eating chocolate chip cookies? It’s being the one to actually make them.

However, growing up, we had to eventually step away from the sweets. It’s just not that healthy. If you mourn having to avoid cookies, you’ll be glad to know that keto-friendly chocolate chip cookies are just as good as regular ones.

Aside from being delicious, they are healthy and easy to make.

What makes this dessert keto? You basically just have to replace your regular flour with almond flour and that will do the trick. You can them in the supermarket but you know these things can sometimes have added ingredients that can ruin your keto diet. So, what I usually do is that I make my own almond flour.

Trust me. It is not as complicated as it sounds. You just have to purchase a couple of raw almonds and then put them into a food-processing device. Push it down a bit and then your almonds will be ground into a flour-like consistency.

I had a couple of tries before I got this perfectly. I also would love to hear about your adventure in making no-bake keto chocolate chip cookies in the comment section. It’ll be lots of fun comparing notes on how we perfected the recipe.

No-Bake Keto Peanut Butter Pie

Here is another all-time favorite: peanut butter pie.

Who wants a piece of peanut butter sandwich? Most of you would. How about peanut butter pie? Now, there’s something we can’t resist.

But to be honest, peanut butter pie is not the kind of dessert that would fall on the list of someone trying to lose weight or trying to maintain it. If you munch on some peanut butter pie, you are sure to put on a lot of weight in a day or two. But that’s where the no-bake keto peanut butter pie recipe comes in.

We retain the deliciousness of this dessert while taking away all the things that give it a red flag for dieters.

Once again, you are going to need almond flour. On top of that, the other ingredients that you will need are unsweetened cocoa powder, vanilla extract, melted butter or coconut oil, water, and Erythritol. And if you are wondering what that last one is, it’s a keto-approved sweetener.

And there you have it. I think you already know what comes after those ingredients.

No-Bake Keto Chocolate Ice Cream

Whether it’s parties, picnics, or a regular dinner, there’s only one dessert that is sure to capture everyone’s attention: chocolate ice cream.

Just a few months ago, I was feeling a bit sad while traveling on my way to my cousin’s house. There was going to be a big celebration. My cousin had just gotten engaged and he decided to get the family together for some bonding time.

Knowing my folks, I knew that there was going to be chocolate ice cream. It made me sad that I wouldn’t be able to take a bite since I am on a strict workout and diet scheme.

But then it hit me. I don’t really have to sacrifice chocolate ice cream for the weekend. I think it was a friend who talked about no-bake keto chocolate ice cream a while back. I didn’t remember it all that much until now.

But this was exactly what I needed to make the most of our celebration. So, I called my cousin and offered to be the one to personally make the ice cream instead of having him order one.

It was a blast. Everyone loved it more than they do regular ice cream.

You basically just have to make the ice cream from low carb ingredients:

  • Liquid chocolate stevia
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Almond butter
  • Canned coconut milk
  • Vodka

And then you’re going to need an ice cream maker or a blender. Once the ingredients are well-blended, you can put it in a loaf pan and put it to freeze. Don’t forget to stir it every 10 minutes for the first 30 minutes.

So, yeah, those were the recipes that I so loved before I started making my own. Now, it’s time for you to get a sneak peek at some of my very own easy keto dessert recipes
