And it is also very helpful that you have a content strategy planned so you can easily grow your business in no time. With that said, I have here some unique and engaging content ideas you can try if you are having a hard time with marketing on Pinterest.
1. Make pins for your blog or business
The first and obvious content you should pin about is, of course, your business or your blog, or your service. Pinterest is a great place to market your business and services for free!
And if you are looking to get traffic to your website, leads, and sales, then Pinterest is the place for you.
And with that, make sure you make pins that are related to your business, services, and products. It could be in the form of images, videos, and more.
Just make sure that you link back to your website or blog or any landing page that you have on your pins. It is also helpful to put your brand name or website URL on the pin image or video itself.
2. Repin other pins
A huge percentage of content on Pinterest are repins. If you are just starting out on Pinterest, repinning other content can definitely help in slowly building your Pinterest account and Pinterest boards.
It is also a good way to get more followers. However, when you repin other content, make sure that you only repin pins that are related to your niche and what your audience is interested in.
If you are a fashion blogger, it would be good to repin more fashion pins and lifestyle content.
It is also good to be active on Pinterest. So, if you do not have any content to pin for a particular day, you can always just repin a few pins.
3. Pin informational content
There are different types of content that are being uploaded and repinned per day. What works best on Pinterest though are the DIYs, how-to’s, infographics, recipes, fashion tips, and other informational pins.
You have to keep in mind that Pinterest is just not like any other social network. Pinterest is a platform that is just like Google – a search engine platform that relies on visual content.
With this, your pins will definitely blow up and go viral if your content is something that answers questions that users on Pinterest search.
It can be as simple as Fall decor inspiration, how to grow a blog, and more! Use keywords on the pin image itself, on the title, and description so users can see your pins when they search for that specific topic.
4) Pin videos
Did you know that you can post videos on Pinterest and they are actually getting boosted pretty heavily? These are short-form videos that catch the attention of Pinterest users. Think of it like TikTok videos (if you are using that platform).
Video pins are a great and sure way to catch the attention of Pinterest users since video pins automatically play in users’ feeds. To be able to upload video pins, you must first have a Pinterest business account.
5) Pin high-quality images
If you are a photographer or e-commerce business owner, then make sure you post high-quality and attention-grabbing photos or pins.
Original content and images are definitely a must for Pinterest. Make sure you share images and videos that are bright, clear, and pleasing to the eyes.
You have to keep in mind that Pinterest is a visual search engine and there are millions of content, inspiration, and ideas you have to compete with.
6. Post quotations or text images
I do not know about you but before I knew that Pinterest could help me grow my business, I just went to the platform to get quotes and other wallpapers for my phones. And I am sure a lot of users there right now are like that.
And with that said, you should definitely take advantage of that. Create text-based pins. Inspire users and your followers with quotes. You can simply quote your own words or get an excerpt from your blog posts.
7. Roundup pins
Roundup pins are perfect for recipe blogs or for your e-commerce products. It’s basically a compilation or a showcase of your blog posts, or products and services.
For example, some examples of a roundup pin or content are:

8. Create Idea Pins
Idea pins are another type of pins that are getting boosted by Pinterest. Idea pins are basically like a carousel or story-like sequences of short videos and images.
These types of pins create engaging ideas and inspiration for Pinterest users. It also retains audience attention since they will be more likely to click next on your slides.
Keep in mind that Idea pins are currently still available on many accounts but Pinterest announced that Idea pins will be removed from the platform and old Idea pins will be transformed into video pins.
9. Women-related topics
Did you know that women dominate Pinterest? According to this research, 76.2 percent of Pinterest audiences were female and just over 17 percent were male as of January 2023.
This means that it would be in your best interest to target and create women-related pins. These could range from fashion, skincare, recipes, home decor, and other lifestyle topics.
