Deleting a pin on Pinterest is very easy and straightforward – you don’t need to watch any long tutorials on YouTube.
However, you have to keep in mind that once you delete a pin, you can never get it back. So you may have to really think hard before deleting a pin you’ve created.
With that said, here are some ways you can learn how to delete pins on Pinterest.
Delete pins on the Pinterest browser
Here’s how you can delete pins on your desktop or web browser:
Open Pinterest and log in to your Pinterest account
Click your profile picture at the top-right of your screen
Look through your Created or Saved Pins until you find the Pin you want to edit
Click the Pin to open it
Click the three dots then select Edit Pin
Click Delete at the bottom-left corner
Click Delete again to confirm

If you are a mobile app Pinterest user, here is how you can easily delete pins in the app.
- Open the Pinterest app and log in to your account
- Tap your profile icon at the bottom right corner of your screen
- Look through your Created or Saved Pins until you find the Pin you want to edit
- Tap the Pin to open it
- Tap the ellipsis icon in the top right corner of the Pin, then tap the edit option
- Tap Delete this Pin or the trashcan icon at the bottom of the screen
- Tap Delete to confirm
How to Delete Multiple Pins at once
Deleting a pin permanently can be quite a hassle especially if you are planning on deleting a lot of Pinterest content.
So, can you delete multiple pins at once so you can save time and energy? The answer is yes you can delete pins in bulk – but only if you’ve saved your pins within a board. Here is a step-by-step process on how to do it:
Select your profile picture to get to a display of your boards
Navigate to the board and/or section where the Pin you want to delete is kept
At the top of the board, you’ll see an option to ‘Organize’ – select it.
Now click on every Pin you want to delete. You can select as many as you want.
If you’re doing Board clean-up, you can select ‘move’ to move these Pins to a different place
When you have selected all the Pins you want to delete, select the trash can icon
Click ‘Delete’ to confirm
Can you archive pins?
If you don’t want to delete your pins permanently and you want to hide them for a bit then show them up on your profile after some time, then you may think of archiving your pins instead.
If you are wondering if you can archive individual pins, then sadly, the answer to that is no you cannot. However, you can archive a Pinterest board with your pins it.
The process of archiving Pinterest boards is easy. You just have to go to your profile, click on the Saved tab, click the Pinterest board you want to hide, click the three dots below the Pinterest board title, and then click Archive.
Another way of hiding your boards and pins without deleting them is by keeping them as a Secret board. These Secret boards can only be seen by you and the collaborators on that board.
To keep a board Secret, go to the Saved tab, click the board you want to hide, click on the three dots, click Edit board, and check “Keep this board secret”.
