Summertime is here and I know that you are already planning a bunch of outdoor and backyard gatherings since this is the perfect season to do so! Summer is the perfect time to lounge outside, drink a refreshing beverage, and munch on some grilled foods! With that in mind, I have here a variety of grilled summer foods perfect for a cookout!

Summer Grilling Recipes

30. Grilled Lamb Shoulder Recipe

My Grilled Lamb Shoulder Recipe is definitely one of my favorite meals of all time. The lamb is sweet and fragrant, with a beautifully textured, melt-in-the-mouth tenderness and a succulently chewy skin.

The simplest way to grill lamb shoulder is the best way to do it. I have yet to find any other method that tastes any better.

I’ve been grilling lamb shoulder like this for years and it always turns out great. So if you’re a fan of lamb, you’ve got to try this recipe!

I selected a lamb shoulder joint over a leg because the shoulder has lines of fat running through it that will melt and lubricate the meat.

The resultant lamb is so tender that the shoulder bone can be pulled clean out, and the meat practically crumbles.

29. Grilled Chicken Wings with Buffalo Sauce

Grilled Buffalo chicken wings offer a flavorful and effortless alternative to the classic fried version. These wings are finger-lickin’ good and require no fuss or mess. To achieve crispy skin and rendered fat, it’s important to grill them over a moderate flame. While they are delicious plain, adding a seasoned Buffalo sauce takes them to the next level.

Prepare the grill by heating it to medium-high temperature. Give the wings some flavor by seasoning them with a sprinkle of salt and pepper.

Using your grill tongs, dip a bunch of paper towels into some oil and gently rub the grill grate until it becomes glossy and coated. Make sure to keep a watchful eye on the grill, and if you notice any flare-ups or the wings beginning to burn, move them to a cooler part of the grill or reduce the heat. It’s important to avoid getting grill marks on the wings, instead strive for an even and delightful golden-brown color.

As the wings cook, prepare the sauce. Mix together the garlic and butter in a bowl that is safe for the microwave. Heat the mixture in the microwave for around one minute until the butter melts. Add the hot sauce, salt, onion powder, chili powder, and sugar to the melted butter and stir well. Keep the sauce in a separate bowl for later use.

After cooking the wings, submerge them in the sauce and promptly serve. Alternatively, you can pair the wings with grilled vegetables and provide the sauce as a side option.

28. Grilled Greek Lamb Recipe

On tonight’s menu is the Grilled Greek Lamb Recipe which is quick and effortless to make. This delectable lamb is soaked in a simple marinade consisting of olive oil, lemon juice, and dried herbs, giving it that quintessential Mediterranean taste. Once you’ve tried it, you’ll be incorporating it into your routine summer dinner plans.

Apply salt and black pepper to both sides of the lamb to season it.

To prepare the marinade, mix olive oil, rosemary, thyme, and oregano in a gallon-sized plastic bag that can be resealed. Squeeze out the juice and grate the zest of a lemon, and pour it into the bag. Place the lamb in the bag and knead it to ensure that the marinade is uniformly distributed.

Keep the lamb immersed in the marinade and refrigerate it for 90 minutes. Once done, take it out from the fridge and allow it to warm up at room temperature for 30 minutes.

Preheat your grill to a high temperature. Take the lamb out from the marinade and dispose of the marinade. Grill the lamb according to your desired level of doneness on each side. Cooking for 3-4 minutes will produce medium-rare lamb.

Present alongside some cooked rice or pair it up with your preferred Greek side dishes.

27. Keto Lemon Pepper Chicken Kebabs Recipe

These lemon pepper chicken kebabs are soaked in a fresh lemon pepper marinade and perfectly grilled to get an amazing flavor. They make a perfect keto and low carb summer dinner.

I love making kebabs, especially chicken kebabs. I think everybody knows that chicken is the favorite meat in my home. Besides being cheap, it’s healthy and very versatile. There are thousands of recipes that you can make with chicken.

These lemon pepper chicken kebabs are perfect for a barbecue or a summer party. They can be grilled in the oven, on a Charcoal fire or in a grill pan on the stove. Lemon chicken has always been one of my favorite kinds of chicken. And this recipe is one of my favorite. I love the tangy lemon complimented by the kick of the black pepper, such a good pairing.

These chicken skewers come together in about 30 minutes. They’re studded with juicy chicken pieces, red bell peppers, and chorizo.

Everything teriyaki flavored is my jam. Take these steak bites, for example, they’re gone in minutes when I’m around.

These mini appetizers are explosive! Marinated in a sweet and smoky teriyaki sauce for that exquisite taste.

Cooked on the pellet grill, they acquire a crunchy outer layer, while maintaining their super succulent and juicy interior.

24. Smoked Brisket

Brisket is the pinnacle of comfort food. Merely imagining it makes my heart flutter. It’s one of the rare dishes that can brighten up my darkest moods.

That being said, I never thought brisket could improve. That was until I tried this recipe. Smoked brisket takes the crown!

From its fork-friendly texture to its juiciness to its beefy flavor, this brisket scores a 12/10.

Pair this with a side of crushed potatoes, and that’s the end of the story!

23. Traeger Smoked Baked Potato

Baked potatoes are such a basic dish. They’re hearty yet lack flavor on their own.

However, if you cook them on a pellet grill, the whole game changes.

Sure, they’re fantastic with a dollop of sour cream, chives, and the works.

But even without the toppings, they’re delicious. The pellet grill infuses the potatoes with a fantastic smoky flavor!

Above all, the recipe is straightforward. No additional steps are involved. The only change is using the grill instead of the oven.

22. Smoked Ribs

ow can we talk about Traeger recipes without mentioning ribs? Summer is incomplete without this quintessential grilled dish!

Numerous smoked ribs recipes are available online, but this one yields the juiciest, most tender meat that falls off the bone!

The taste is also phenomenal.

The ribs are smeared with mustard, Traeger rub, maple syrup, and brown sugar.

Combined, they create an incredible medley of sweet and sour, savory and smoky, and utterly amazing flavors.

Pro-tip: I know waiting is tough, but do it! Allow the ribs to rest for 15 to 20 minutes before diving in. This guarantees maximum juiciness.

21. Grilled Chicken Wings

Chicken wings are typically deep-fried or baked, but believe me, your trusty Traeger grill can produce equally amazing wings.

The chicken skins are as crunchy as they can get! Meanwhile, the meat is incredibly tender and juicy.

Even though they’re seasoned with basic ingredients—olive oil, salt, and pepper—they’re still amazingly delicious.

Their simple flavor makes them perfect for dipping!

You can go the classic route and dip the wings in buffalo sauce, blue cheese, or ranch, or get a bit more adventurous with Moroccan herb, soy-ginger, or wasabi mayo.

20. Smoked Shredded Beef Dip Sandwich

Why not kick off our culinary journey with an explosive taste?

Nothing tames an empty stomach better than a fulfilling beef roast sandwich.

Delicate, shredded beef is smoked low and slow on a wood grill and simmered in an au jus sauce.

This juicy concoction is then nestled within buttery submarine rolls and showered generously with smoked gouda for good measure.

However, the story doesn’t end there. This impossibly delicious sandwich is given a dip in the savory au jus – just because we can!

I adore how the au jus permeates the bread just enough to soften it, while retaining some crispness. Absolutely delightful!
