I do not know about you but I crave Chinese food several times a week – they are just that tasty! But, instead of ordering takeout, I prefer making my own Chinese dish at home.
They are actually very easy to make plus you can ensure that the ingredients you use fit your current diet! With that said, one of my favorite Chinese dishes to make is the Moo Shu Shrimp dish.

Tasty Moo Shu Shrimp Recipe
How to make moo shu shrimp
I absolutely love making moo shu shrimp because this dish is very rich in flavor and has the freshest, healthiest ingredients! With that said, here is how you can make this delicious moo shu shrimp recipe!
Ingredients:
14 ounces peeled shrimp
3 eggs
7 ounces sliced shiitake mushrooms
7 ounces sliced brown mushrooms
7 ounces shredded cabbage
8 Chinese pancakes or flour tortilla
1 carrot thinly sliced
3 chopped scallions
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
3 cloves minced garlic
2 sticks of chopped celery
1 sliced bell pepper
2 tablespoons minced ginger
1 tablespoon rice wine (or white wine)
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
½ tablespoon oyster sauce
Instructions:
Get a wok and add a drizzle of cooking oil on medium high heat.
Add your peeled shrimp to the wok and stir fry the shrimp for about 5 minutes or until all the shrimp turns pink and browned.
Once the shrimp are cooked, place them in a separate large bowl or plate. Add another drizzle of cooking oil to the wok on medium high heat and crack all 3 eggs into the wok.
Mix the eggs for around 2 minutes or until they form small curds. Move the eggs onto the separate plate with the shrimp.
Add another drizzle of cooking oil to the wok on medium-high heat and add your minced garlic, minced ginger, brown mushrooms, and shitake mushrooms.
Stir fry everything for around 4 minutes and then add all the vegetables (celery, cabbage, carrot, bell pepper, and scallions). Mix everything and cook all the vegetables for around 2 minutes.
Next, add in all the sauce to the wok with the vegetables (soy sauce, sesame oil, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, rice wine). Stir-fry the vegetables in the sauce for around 5 minutes or until the bell peppers, carrots, and cabbage have softened a bit.
Mix in the shrimp and egg and stir all ingredients together so that everything is covered in sauce.
If you want to have your moo shu shrimp wrapped, stack your Chinese pancakes or flour tortillas in a baking sheet, wrap them in tin foil, and heat them in the oven at 300 degrees F.
Wrap and make your moo shu pancakes. Serve and enjoy!
