How to make Halloween drinks

Halloween is definitely one of the most anticipated holidays all across the globe because of its traditions which include wearing spooky costumes and arranging Halloween parties. Of course, in any Halloween celebration, one must stay by the spooky theme. This includes having scary decorations as well as spooky-themed foods and beverages! And no, you do not need to hire a bartender to make these delicious drinks. In fact, you can make a lot of the drinks you see on Pinterest on your own!

But first, what makes a good Halloween drink? You must, of course, plan your presentation. What makes a drink scary? Maybe add some dry ice to make your drink have that smokey effect. Add some eyeball candy or ice. You can also add some gummy worms in it. It is also good to make colored drinks or place your drink in a skull jar. The sky is the limit.

With that said, here is an easy smokey Halloween drink recipe that you can do:

Ingredients:

Bourbon

Lime juice

Mountain Dew

Sugar and Pomegranate juice (for Grenadine)

Dry ice cubes

Directions:

To make your own Grenadine, combine equal parts sugar and pomegranate juice in a mason jar then shake well. After, pour your bourbon, lime juice, and homemade grenadine into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well and pour into a glass of choice.

Drop the dry ice cubes into the glass and pour in the Mountain Dew. Do note that the dry ice is only for presentation and should not be swallowed. Wait for the dry ice to evaporate entirely before drinking.

Halloween drinks for kids

Now that you know how to make your Halloween drink, you might feel excited to grab some drinks in your alcohol shelf and make some more. But you should also take note of your visitors. Are they mostly adults or are there kids attending? And even if, there are also some adults who do not drink alcoholic beverages at all. So it is important to prepare both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in your Halloween party.

And do not worry, because it is not as hard as you think. Just like how you make your alcoholic beverage, you just need to worry about the drink’s presentation (which can easily be resolved by throwing in some fake eyeballs and gummy worms in the mix).

Here is an example of an easy non-alcoholic Halloween drink which mainly requires just three ingredients such as:

Orange kool-aid

Lemon lime kool-aid or Lemon lime flavored Gatorade

Ice

Directions:

Fill the glasses all the way up with ice cubes and top in your decorations (gummy worms, eyeballs, spiders). While tilting the glass slightly, pour in your orange kool-aid about ⅓ to ½ way up. Then, pour in slowly your lemon lime drink until the glass is filled.

This colorful drink will definitely catch the eyes of both children and adults!
