What is the best way to grill chicken?

Preparing and serving grilled chicken is especially perfect during a get-together summer cookout. And since summer is fast approaching, you may now have plans on having a backyard gathering with your friends and families. And if you are planning on a barbecue blowout, you best not forget to include chicken in the mix! But just as other grilled food, achieving a perfectly grilled chicken can get quite tricky. But here are some tips I have laid out for you:

  • Choose and cook your chicken depending on the time you have. Remember that the larger the cut of the chicken, the longer it will take to cook. So if you want something quick, then sticking to boneless (bite-sized) chicken will do you good.
  • Season and flavor your chicken before it goes on the grill. This means you can marinade your chicken or rub some seasonings beforehand so you can just relax with your guests while your chicken is grilling!
  • You also need to prepare your grill immediately. This means that you need to clean the grates, preheat, and add a little oil before cooking so that the chicken will not stick.
  • You do not want to burn the skin of your chicken too much so it is best to cook over medium, indirect heat.
  • While your chicken is grilling, it is wise to put a cover on it so you will not waste fuel and will make your chicken thoroughly cooked quickly.
  • When the chicken is almost thoroughly cooked, you can then add your sauce.
  • Then serve!

How do you grill chicken breast without drying it out?

We love chicken breasts since they are easy to eat along with being juicy and flavorful. However, when you are grilling a chicken breast, there may be instances where the heat from the grill will dry it out—this is what you need to avoid. To achieve a perfectly grilled and juicy chicken breast, you just need to follow these simple hacks:

  • Pound your chicken breast until thin. This will reduce your cooking time and give you a more evenly cooked result.
  • Marinade or brine your chicken for flavor and color. Brining means you submerge the chicken in salt-water before grilling. This method will prevent the chicken from overcooking on the grill and will give it some satisfying grill marks.
  • You will want to grill your chicken breasts over direct heat for grill marks but you must immediately switch to low heat so that you will not dry your chicken out and keep them juicy.

What goes good with grilled chicken?

Now that you have a batch of perfectly grilled, juicy chicken pieces, you will want to think of some sides that will go perfectly with it. Generally, a grilled chicken will do great with any side dishes.

But if you want to be more specific, here are some common sides that go well with grilled chicken:

  • Potatoes
  • Corn
  • Garden salad
  • Rice
  • Beans
