When talking about visual design, graphics, and other graphic design-related materials, Pinterest and even Twitter could be the first social media platforms that graphic designers may lean forward to in promoting their works.
However, what most designers do not realize is how much Pinterest can help them in many ways: from finding design inspiration, discovering different resources for designers, and collaborating with various designers on Pinterest, to finding their own leads and clients!
Simply put, Pinterest is a goldmine of resources and inspiration specifically tailored to designers. With that in mind, let us go straight ahead to what are the benefits of Pinterest for designers.

Benefits of Pinterest for Designers
There is a wide range of what Pinterest can contribute to designers and to their brand or business! Here are some of what designers on Pinterest can get from the platform:
Visual Inspiration
Pinterest is perfect for designers since the platform is primarily a visual platform which makes it a great source of daily dose of inspiration for designers. Designers can browse through a big collection of image and video pins relating to logo and typography, brand design, digital art, product design, even motion graphics, and more!
Mood Board Creation
Designers can treat Pinterest as a place for them to create mood boards and references for visual elements for their design projects. This is through Pinterest boards which allow Pinterest users to curate a collection of images, color palettes, typography, and other visual content.
Keeping Up with Trends
Staying up to date with design trends and the best graphic practices are important for designers. And yes, designers can find these latest trends and styles on Pinterest from different collections of pins and Pinterest boards! You will be able to see the latest style guide, new art and design trends, and more!
Portfolio Showcase
Designers usually have online portfolios for potential clients to look at. Sometimes, designers have to pay for website hosting just so they have something to place their portfolio in. But on Pinterest, designers can do it for free by creating boards! Designers can even reach a wider range of audience and potentially attract new clients and job opportunities by having their works on their Pinterest account.
Networking
Pinterest is still somewhat of a social media platform at the end of the day. And because of this, designers are able to connect with other creative professionals and even build their own community. They can follow and interact with other designers, comment on each other’s works (or pins), and message each other privately.

- Enter your Email, Create a password, and enter your Age
- Click Create account
- Fill out the fields to Build your profile, then click Next
- Fill out the fields to Describe your business, then click Next

Set Up Your Pinterest Profile with Keywords
A quick and easy way for potential clients and other Pinterest users to discover you is by implementing keywords in your pins, Pinterest boards, Pinterest name, and bio!
An example is my account. As you can see, I have several relevant keywords related to my business that I added after my name. This is so that when users search those terms on the Pinterest search bar, my Pinterest account will appear in the search results as well.
